Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Tests

Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Test (NIPPT) adopts Massively Parallel Sequencing (MPS) technology to obtain fetal genetic profiles from cell-free fetal DNA (cffDNA) in maternal plasma. By analyzing the fetal genetic profiles and comparing them with the genetic material of the alleged father, the biological paternity relationship can be confirmed.

Notice

1. Pregnant women who have undergone blood transfusion, organ transplantation, stem cell therapy or immunotherapy, as well as those with tumor diseases, pre-eclampsia, triplet or multiple pregnancies, or who have had fetal reduction from a twin pregnancy or an abortion within the past six months, are not eligible for non-invasive prenatal paternity testing.
2. For surrogate pregnancy or fraternal twins, samples from all alleged fathers are required, and prior consultation with customer service is recommended.
3. From the 5th week of gestation, cell-free fetal DNA can be detected in maternal peripheral blood. Due to individual differences in DNA concentration, the earliest acceptable testing time for non-invasive prenatal paternity testing is 6 weeks of pregnancy. If the cell-free fetal DNA concentration is insufficient, the report issuance period may be extended, or a maternal sample re-collection may be required to ensure test accuracy. The testing period will be calculated from the day after the re-collected sample is received.
4. Clients shall be responsible for the authenticity of submitted samples, while we assume responsibility for the accuracy of test results.
5. Please strictly comply with sample collection requirements. Unqualified samples (such as insufficient quantity/volume, cross-contamination, admixture with other specimens, etc.) will require sample re-collection.
